About SportsLab

What is SportsLab?

SportsLab is a digital marketing agency built exclusively for the sports industry. We help clubs, academies, leagues, tournaments, athletes, coaches, and turf facilities build a structured, professional digital presence.

We handle everything from matchday posters and reels to social media management, content planning, website development, and paid ad campaigns — all tailored to the unique rhythms and demands of sport.

Where is SportsLab based?

We operate from Hyderabad, Telangana, India. We serve clients across India and are expanding to more cities. Because our work is digital, location is rarely a constraint — we work with organisations regardless of where they're based.

Why "sports only"? Why not a general digital agency?

Sports organisations have very specific needs that general agencies don't understand: unpredictable fixture schedules, matchday urgency, squad updates, fan engagement, tournament cycles, and season-based content rhythms.

We built SportsLab from the ground up for this world. Every process, template, and workflow we use is designed around how sports actually works — not around a generic content calendar that assumes your business runs Monday to Friday.

What types of organisations do you work with?

We work with six core client types:

  • Clubs — Football clubs, cricket clubs, multi-sport clubs
  • Academies — Training academies, coaching centres, youth development programmes
  • Leagues & Tournaments — Local, regional, and national sports leagues and event organisers
  • Athletes & Coaches — Individual sportspeople building a personal brand
  • Turfs & Grounds — Sports facilities, turf booking businesses, indoor arenas
  • Sports Brands — Sports equipment, apparel, or nutrition brands with a sports focus

Which sports do you cover?

We cover all sports. Our primary experience is in football, cricket, basketball, futsal, volleyball, tennis, badminton, and kabaddi. But we've built our systems to be sport-agnostic — the digital marketing principles apply whether you're running a boxing gym, a swimming academy, or an esports team.

Do you work with individual athletes or only organisations?

Both. We work with individual athletes and coaches on personal branding, content creation, and social media management. The scope is tailored to what an individual needs versus what a club or academy needs.

We're a very small club / just starting out. Is SportsLab right for us?

Absolutely. We specifically built SportsLab to serve grassroots and mid-tier sports entities — organisations that are often overlooked by larger agencies. Whether you have 20 members or 2,000, we'll scope the engagement to match your stage and budget.

Our Services

What services does SportsLab offer?

Our core services include:

  • Social Media Management — Running your Instagram, Facebook, and other platforms
  • Content Creation — Designed posts, matchday posters, graphics, and visual content
  • Reels & Video Editing — Short-form video content edited from your raw footage
  • Content Planning — Structured content plans mapped to your fixtures and events
  • Website Development — Building or redesigning your website
  • Meta Ads Management — Paid advertising campaigns on Facebook and Instagram

We also offer add-on services such as reel shooting, professional photography, and event-specific campaigns. Everything is scoped to your needs.

Do you shoot video or only edit it?

Our standard engagement is based on editing raw footage that you provide — match clips, training videos, behind-the-scenes content, etc. If you need on-ground shooting (a videographer at your matches or events), that's available as an add-on service and is quoted separately.

Do you run paid ads?

Yes. We manage Meta Ads (Facebook and Instagram) for client acquisition, event promotion, academy enrolments, tournament registrations, and brand awareness. Ad spend is funded directly by you and is separate from our service fee — we do not mark up media costs.

Do you handle logo design, jersey mockups, or brand identity?

No. Logo design, kit/jersey mockups, and full brand identity creation are not part of our current service offering. We're happy to collaborate with your existing designer on digital assets.

What platforms do you manage?

We primarily manage Instagram and Facebook. We can also support YouTube, Twitter/X, and LinkedIn depending on your scope. The platforms included in your engagement are defined in the Service Agreement.

Pricing

How much does SportsLab cost?

We don't offer fixed packages or standard pricing tiers. Every engagement is custom-scoped based on your specific goals, sport, platforms, and budget.

A football club preparing for a tournament has very different needs from a cricket academy running year-round coaching. After a discovery call where we understand your situation, we put together a tailored scope and pricing proposal. You only pay for what you actually need.

Do I have to commit long-term?

No. While we recommend a minimum initial term (typically 3 months) to see meaningful results, we also work on a month-to-month basis after that. Either party can end the engagement with 15 days' written notice. There are no lock-in contracts.

When and how do I pay?

Fees are billed monthly in advance. We accept bank transfers, UPI, and online payment links. All payment terms are documented in your Service Agreement.

Is GST included in the price?

No. All quoted fees are exclusive of GST, which is charged at the prevailing rate (currently 18% on services) and itemised separately on each invoice.

Can I start small and scale up later?

Absolutely. Many of our clients start with a focused engagement — say, matchday content and social media management — and expand the scope as they see results. Our custom-scoping approach is designed exactly for this.

Process & Onboarding

How do I get started with SportsLab?

  1. Reach out — Contact us via WhatsApp, email, DM, or our website form.
  2. Discovery call — A 20-minute call to understand your goals, fixtures, and current setup.
  3. Custom proposal — Within 48 hours, you'll receive a tailored scope and pricing proposal.
  4. Agreement — We sign the Service Agreement and you make the first payment.
  5. Onboarding — You share brand assets, account access, and schedules.
  6. Content starts — Within 72 hours of the onboarding call, your first content batch is ready for approval.

How long does onboarding take?

Most clients are fully onboarded within 3–5 days. The timeline depends on how quickly you share brand assets and provide account access.

Do I need to provide photos and videos?

Yes. For designed posts and reels, we work with raw materials that you provide — match photos, training clips, event footage, player headshots. We set up a shared Google Drive folder where you can upload materials at any time. Even smartphone footage works.

Who approves the content before it goes live?

You do. Every piece of content is shared with your designated approval contact before publishing. You have a 48-hour window to review and approve or request changes. Nothing goes live without your sign-off.

Content & Delivery

How fast do you deliver content?

Our standard turnaround is 24 hours from the time we have all required materials. For matchday-specific content, we work to tighter timelines aligned with your fixture schedule.

Do you follow a weekly content calendar?

No. Sports don't run on a Monday-to-Friday schedule, and neither do we. Our content plans are mapped to your fixture schedule, events, and milestones — not arbitrary calendar weeks.

What is the "Matchday Cycle"?

It's our content framework for events and matches, broken into three phases:

  • Pre-Event — Hype posters, countdowns, squad announcements, fixture graphics
  • Matchday — Live story updates, real-time score graphics, behind-the-scenes content
  • Post-Event — Result graphics, highlights, player spotlights, recaps

What if I don't have a fixture schedule yet?

That's completely normal in Indian sports — schedules are often confirmed at short notice. We plan around what's known and adapt as fixtures are announced. Our systems are built for the unpredictability of real sports.

Do I own the content you create for me?

Yes. All original content created specifically for you becomes your property once payment for that billing cycle is received. You can use it however you like.

Platforms & Account Access

Do I need to give you my social media passwords?

No. We access your accounts through Meta Business Suite, which lets you add us as an Editor or Admin without sharing your password. You retain full control and can revoke access at any time.

What if I don't have a social media account yet?

We can help you set up accounts from scratch. We'll create your profiles, optimise your bio and branding, and get everything ready before content starts going out.

Will I lose access to my accounts if we stop working together?

Absolutely not. Your social media accounts belong to you. Upon termination, we revoke our own access within 7 days. All content posted stays on your accounts.

Contracts & Legal

Is there a formal contract?

Yes. Every engagement is governed by a written Service Agreement that defines the scope, deliverables, payment terms, intellectual property rights, confidentiality, and termination conditions.

Can I cancel at any time?

After the initial term, either party can cancel with 15 days' written notice. Fees for work already completed remain payable. There are no hidden exit fees.

Do you sign an NDA?

Our Service Agreement includes a comprehensive confidentiality clause covering all non-public information — including player details, upcoming signings, financial data, and business strategy. If you require a separate NDA, we're happy to sign one.

Will you use our work in your portfolio?

By default, yes — our agreement allows us to showcase your work in our portfolio and marketing. If you'd prefer to opt out, let us know within 14 days of signing.

Results & Reporting

Do you guarantee results?

We do not guarantee specific follower counts, engagement rates, or revenue outcomes. What we do guarantee is professional execution, consistent delivery, and data-informed decisions. We share monthly performance reports and continuously optimise based on real results.

How do I know if it's working?

You'll receive a monthly Performance Report covering key metrics: reach, engagement rate, follower growth, profile visits, and content performance. We also schedule a monthly review call to walk through the numbers together.

How long does it take to see results?

Most clients see improvements in content quality and consistency within the first month. Measurable engagement and follower growth typically become clear within 2–3 months. Significant organic reach improvements usually take 3–6 months. Paid advertising can produce results within the first few weeks.
